I have a 3gm30F Yanmar engine and the warning buzzer does not work when the key is turned on and the engine not running. There is a "check" switch and the buzzer will work when I check it. My understanding is that it should come on when the key is on and the engine is not running. Any one have any idea? The engine lights work and operate properly. I did check for disconneted wires but everthing looked O.K. Thanks

3GM warning buzzer

I just went thru the whole warning panel. When the switch is on, engine not running, should get buzzer and light indicating that oil pressure is low. Bought the Yanmar manual and after much study, figured it all out. For one thing, all of my light sockets were loose. Another is that when engine ran, oil pressure wire at end of pressure switch would go open. My trouble shooting solution was to methodically use the manual and a meter from radio shack. then I could test wires, and simulate temp and pressure switches and get to the bottom of the problem. good luck.
