What model Yanmar engine came with the 1983 H31? I wish to purchase some replacement belts and need to know to place an order. Is it a Yanmar 2GM 15 horse or something else? Thanks, Greg W De Pere, WI.
Greg: There should be a placard on the front of the engine. I think that they had a lower HP version on the early models and then the pumped them up to 18. I would guess that the belts are the same as on the 2GM20F.
My 83 31 has a 2GM13. the 13 or 15 or 18 designation can be told by running the numbers on the front of the block, mechanics tell me. Jim McClung, S/V Drum
