I just had my 1GM10 rebuilt and reinstalled. Took it out under power and could make no more than 2300rpms in forward and not normal boat speed for that rev level. I Looked at the shaft and it seemed to be turning slower than normal. In reverse however I can cavitate the prop, what was normal Hunter prop walk is a lot worse and I can run the motor to full rpm and power. It is almost like they got the gear ratios screwed up during reassembly and or the governor set improperly. Before I call the repair operator i wanted to get some input on my assumptions. Any ideas.
