Japan is very expensive on recreational activities. I was quoted $15 per washer by a Yanmar shop. I know I can get them for pennies if I had the exact sizes needed. I've looked in my YSM12 manual but it doesn't list them. Saturday I will take several to a local store and see if I can match them up.
Thanks everyone for the help with this problem.
I had a hard time believing that they would charge you that much in the country where they are made. BUT I just got back from Taiwan and everything there was more expensive than in the US. TV's were 1.5 times the cost they are here. Even their little scooters that are made there are cheaper to buy in San Antonio Texas. The only thing less expensive was food and housing. I was going to buy a commercial sewing machine, but quickly realized that they would be more expensive than just waiting until I got home and buying one. That aspect of the trip was dissapointing.
However I love the Taiwanese people, very quiet, polite to a fault, absolutely zero graffiti, no one was forcing me to smoke like they do outside walmart here. It was a wonderfully relaxing place.
