I have an old Yanmar YSE12, which is in need of an impeller. I checked marinedieseldirect.com, but they do not ship to California. Does anyone know where I can buy parts for my Yanmar, who will ship to California??? I prefer buying on-line, but it isn't completely necessary. My boat is in San Diego, so I wouldn't mind visiting a store, if one sells the parts. Thanks! Gary

For the impeller on the water pump, I would think that you could find this at any shop that hangs out the Yamar sign. You might have to order it and wait a week but I have found most carry the impeller for the 12 hp yamar. The Yamar web site listing dealers all have territiorial restrictions and all sell at suggested list plus freight. I have a YSM 12 and just went through a problem with overheating until a Hunter owned on this site suggested I reverse the pump cover. The inside was worn and breaking the seal and losing prime. Don't forget that you will also need a new gasket and probly new brass screws. I have found that the screws last longer if you first "break" them with a vise grip rather than use a screw driver. Good luck

Are you sure it's a YSE-12 and not a YSM-12? I've not heard of the YSE-12, but, I think I may have a YSM-12 impeller left over from when I scrapped mine. If I do, it's in the tool box aboard my boat and I will gladly mail it to you. Send me your address at bhowie@txucom.net and I will get you one or two and mail them to you.

Thanks!

Thanks for the input! This has to be one of the greatest user groups around. I don't think you can find a better bunch of people :) Bob, I'm pretty sure it's a YSE12. Either way, I checked the part numbers on the impellers. The YSE12 and YSM12 are the exact same impellers. I'll e-mail you regarding the impellers you have! Thanks for all your help!!!!!!
