Yanmar Part Number Discrepancy

Parts number for oil filter for 2gm Yanmar as listed on this site does not agree with parts number from Torrenson site. Torrenson--119660-35150HOW---------124450-35100 Therefore it would be a sound idea to double check part numbers with a supplier before ordering just from the list here.

2GM oil filter

I have a "Quick Reference List" that covers every Yanmar Marine diesel that I received from the local Yanmar dealer. The oil filter part number for the 2GM diesel is 124450-35100. It seems the HOW net work has the correct number. They probably got it from the same dealer.

Part number change

When I changed my filter this fall, our dealer said there was a number change for the Yanmar oil filter. I believe the number given by Torrenson is the correct one.Ken Palmer, S/V Liberty

Both numbers?

I have the 2GM on a H30 I just bought in October. The prior owners had two spare filters #35100. When I went to a Yanmar place and bought the maint kit I got the 35150. Both have the same size o ring so it probably does not make a difference.
