I am replacing the impeller on my new to me Hutner 40.5 with a Yanmar 4JH(2)E. The Yanmar packaged impeller has two misc. parts that I'm not sure I know how to use. One looks like a plug or small solid disc that I assume goes in the end of the impellor that faces outward (towards the cover.) The other looks like a small spacer with splines on the inside that I assume fits on the other end (the side that fits against the pump housing.

I did not notice the ring like spacer on the one I took out. I do see the solid end on the one I took out.

If that placement is correct please confirm. I hope to get launched on Tuesday April 30th. It thats not the right way please let me know.

Thanks

Impeller misc parts picture

I posted a similar question about a year ago. I never received an answer so I am watching this thread, Maybe somebody knows the answer now. Below is a picture of my impeller for my VOLVO. I have the rubber plug that will fit into the outside of the impeller (toward the cover), but no inside "ring" part. Not every impeller kit I buy has the plug. I generally buy the Jabsco impeller kits in order to save big $$ over the Volvo branded kits, and I have assembled the impeller with and without the rubber plug with no apparent harm.

I too would like to know what is the proper assembly.
