hand crank
There is a cap on the engine covering the end of the cam shaft. Under this cover is the attachment point for the crank. I believe the crank comes with a permenant replacement cover so that the existing does not have to be removed when you want to crank. The crank itself is about 6" long. God help you if you ever have to use it. The attachment point is directly behind the alternator belt and you have to push the belt to the side to insert the crank. When the engine starts (if it starts), watch out.The procedure is to decompress the engine, get the flywheel spinnning, advance the throttle and drop the decompression levers. Sounds simple in theory.1. Even if you had all the room in the world and a square and firm place to stand in a comfortable position, you can't get that motor to a starting rpm.2. If you get it to a starting rpm and drop the hammers, you'll stop it dead. You have to drop them one at a time while nursing the throttle.
