Probably a very easy answer to my question. Where do I fine a plate on my Yanmar engine that gives me the data on the engine? I think it is a 2QM20F but can not find any proof on the engine. I want to change from a 2 blade to a 3 blade prop and hve been told that I need to verify the engine model.

Normally on the front of the engine!

Carl: This is normally on the front of the engine. It is a shiny plate with the model, HP, KW etc. You also need the tranmission ratio, which should be on the transmission itself.

Hello Carl, The plate is located on the front of the engine above the three pulleys. Your reduction gear info should also be stamped on that plate. It may say IA 2.62:1. IA represents forward and IB represents reverse. Rotation should be RH. Hope this helps. Kevin

Some QM data plates on starboard side....

some data plates on older QM's on starboard side below lift pump.
