I recently put a post up on not being able to stop the Yanmar 3GM30F engine on my 2004 Hunter 33.I have now fixed it by replacing the stopping relay. The original relay must have burnt out. (The solenoid coil is a big one, resistance of .5 ohms, must take 20amps or more). The system works as it did before the problem. However, the circuit is not making sense. I found that with the key switch off, if I press the stop button, the buzzer will sound and the engine low oil pressure light will come on (engine is not running).I assume that the engine key switch will switch everything off when in the off position, therefore the surprise that the stop button will do something. Also the stop push button should not have anything to do with the buzzer and warning lights.Any other Hunter owners that have the same thing in their engine control panel?I was a bit concerned that there are no fuses on the solenoid circuit and a lot of the wires are left energised even when the key switch is in "off" position. The circuit diagram that came with the Yanmar manual is not applicable to the panel on the Hunter 33. I obtained a copy from the Yanmar dealer but not exactly sure if I have the applicable diagram or not. I would appreciate it if anyone knows where I can find a circuit diagram for this engine. Yanmar websit no longer show this model of engine.Thanks.
