Hi Everyone I have removed the engine from my 37C and the rear engine mounts almost fell apart. The engine is a 3QM30 F. The only distinguishing marks on the mounts besides the Yanmar logo was the number 150 on the front mounts and 100 on the rear. Is this the load rating for the mounts? Can I assume that I should use mounts with the same rating? Thanks John S/V Slainte 1983 H37C

Yanmar mounts

John, The mounts used on newer Yanmars are proprietary. They are of diferent durometer(density) so use the same ones in the same positions. The 150 sould be at the engine end and the 100 at the trans end. Now sit down, when you call a dealer to get new mounts. You'l pay about $100.00 US. John,,,

That's,,,,EACH! Look at mine. Check out pictures of the engine. These work fine and all four cost less than $100 including freight across country. Did I mention they won't rust? If you're interested, I'll try to find the link. The vendor is in Florida.

Fred,

Your mounts look like Dynafocal in the picture. Thoes are great mounts for an engine of 3 or 4 cylinders. They don't fail. I wouldn't use them on a single or twin because of the increased vibration transfer. Pat McCartin Inland Marine Diesel Buford, Ga imd_ga@hotmail.com
