When I first start the engine, the idiot lights, test switch and buzzer all work properly. On restarting after sailing, the buzzer does not work but the lights and switch do. The next time I use the boat, the whole routine repeats!! Been doing it all season. Anyone have any suggestions??

The buzzer should always sound whenever the ignition key is turned on and the engine is not running. I suspect that one or more of your sensors is (are) not working and you are getting the initial buzzer sound from only one sensor. I would troubleshoot each circut individually. With the engine running (be careful) you can remove the wires, one at a time, from the water temp and then oil presure sensors and ground each to the engine block, then check for a light and buzzer. Perhaps someone with more expertise can advise on the alternator circut.

Buzzer is Oil Pressure Warning

Maybe the oil pressure is sufficiently high to not trigger the buzzer. Ned and Tani Strain s/v Family Therapy 1995 h336 Chicago
