Hello all!

I am struggling to find the P=97 instrument panel for my Hunter 31. EBay has a number of others that seem to be for diesel engines (Glow, Start ignition). Does anyone know where I might track down the P=97 version?

Thanks and be safe!

if ya looking for just the black plastic panel so you can take your existing switches/lights/tach off and mount on the new panel, the Yanmar part number is 128170-91010; about $35.. if ya need everything the part number is 128170-91002 and it is $778.. These can be ordered from your local friendly (price controlled) Yanmar dealer. If you need everything, a way to get there is to get the panel only then source the tach and switches and stuff from other places.. I think that it could be done that way for $300 or a bit less..

To hitch a ride on Kloudie's post, if you need the complete panel it comes in 2 parts. Sometimes called Housing Panel and sometimes called Body Panel : # 128170 – 91010 D (2 parts : face & light box).
You also have the option of a gasket: # 128170 – 91020 and if you want the stop cable, the 3-meters (+/- 10 feet) sold under part # 104271 – 67550 is probably what you need. BTW, never heard or seen the reference to P-79 !

The P 79 is in reference to which tachometer you need. The picture given, though, seems to show P 97. (Look at the bottom of the tach in the picture.)

You guys are switched on and terrific! Thanks a ton for this info. I reached out to Mack Boring to see what they have in stock.

Will see whether I can see my way clear to getting the complete panel or parts and assemble as suggested.

The P-97 refers to the tach model. The panel is Yanmar Panel B (it`s an older model). Regards

I checked with Cascade Engine Center in WA but they do not carry the #128170-91002 unit in stock, although they said they would see if they could track it down somewhere on the East Coast. Any other ideas on where I might find it other than through a Yanmar dealer (I checked EBay already)?

Thanks!

I've had success through a local Yanmar tractor dealer. As long as I had the part number they could order it. They would sometimes price match. Sometimes not.

I ended up ordering the Body Panel : # 128170 – 91010 piece from Schooner Creek here in Portland. It was around ~$37.00. I now realize I was remiss in not ordering the gasket too (# 128170 – 91020)!

Thanks,

Sean
