I Have a doubt about the engine mounts in my Hunter 380, the motor is a Yanmar 3JH3E, the original engine mounts are installed in pairs, 150 model starboard side, 100 model port side, my mechanics said that´s wrong, he said that 150´s go in pair front (bow) and the 100´s stern.
Will appreciate any help with this issue

On the older 3GMF, the heavier sprung ones go in front and the lighter ones go aft.. Don't know on that engine but you are correct in noting that they are wrong with heavy on one side.
YA might want to verify that the heavies are one side.. The numbers are on 'em.

Thanks Kloudie 1for your comments, the point is that I can´t think that the order of the engine mounts are wrong from the factory from the very begining......so, will wait until some other coleague with this motor confirm , other mechanic say that the position of my engine mounts described above are to absorb the torque of the motor.....s

someone who did not understand yan engine mounts put them on completely wrong. yan specifies how the mounts are to be put on--front heavy 150's , rear lighter 100 s . . the idea that 'all the heavier ones' are on starboard makes no sense. how old is the boat, how many hours on the engine ? if there's still space to adjust the mounts it's simple enough to swap them out . go online to boatdiesel.com , you can view the service manual for this engine and download it for a nominal fee. having the mounts wrong may cause issues with your prop shaft coupler face out, among other things... maybe the 'mechanic' just did not want to do the job of correcting the mounts, or didn't know how ???
