Joe...
on my 83 H34 the Racor (a 230) is mounted on the right side of the engine space's aft bulkhead, facing aft, and hanging down to access the filter and bowl. I'm using a 24S 2 mic filter in it but am considering going up to a 10 mic one as the 2 clogs easily currently. On the other hand, injectors are much more expensive so I'm still undecided. I was looking at another H34 on Yachtworld last night that Oxford Boat installed a new Yanmar in. They mounted a Racor filter on the inside of the starboard engine enclosure, near the top front. I'm now thinking of moving mine there. When I do I'll remove a "DeBug" device and install a fuel squeeze bulb to make bleeding a lot easier.I'm also going to empty the tank, remove it from the boat, install an access port (good idea, Fred), and do a complete clean-out that is evidently long overdue. Pictures of both projects will follow when complete.
