I have a 2005 Hunter 33 based at Pittwater in Sydney. After a morning sail I moored for lunch and shut down the engine in the normal way with the stop button.
When attempting to restart the engine it would turn over easily but would not run. I had experienced a similar problem many months ago when the stop solenoid jammed.
Upon checking the stop solenoid, thinking it was a recurrence of a previous problem it was functioning normally. A call to the engineers at my Marina resulted in me disconnecting the wiring connection to the solenoid and the engine started. At the same time the gas alarm sounded and continued until I returned to my Marina berth and shut down the engine by reconnecting the wires to the stop solenoid.
Has anyone experienced this problem? Could it be a problem with the cockpit control panel? Any help be appreciated.
