I recently took over an Islander 30 with a Yanmar 2GMF engine. She runs beautifully. However, after I was changed out the air filter, I noticed two wires (pics attached) with connectors that were hanging loose. I believe the other ends terminate in the control panel. I don't know if I knocked them out or they've always been that way. The two-conductor plug appears worn so I suspect it plugs in somewhere. However, the engine compartment is very tight so it's hard to see if the mate ends are nearby. Anyone care to venture a guess as to purpose?
Thanks

The wire harness is made so it can fit different Yanmar series motors. In your case (2GM) the Blue wire is designated "not used" and the White-Red/Black is used in Saildrive models - evidently illuminates a warning lamp directing a seal change

You will find this confirmed in your manual - at wiring diagrams.
