These people are great to deal with. Email them with your problem or part list. They can usually track anything down. Yes I'm partial, they live two doors down.

In addition to Torreson,

Marine Diesel Direct,(http://www.torresen.com/), I've also used "Marine Parts" at the link below for some parts for my Yanmar 2GM20F. But before you buy a new or rebuilt raw water pump, which will be somewhat expensive, is it possible that all you need is to rebuild the seals in your existing pump? If so, rebuild kits are much cheaper and it's not a hard job.

What is wrong with the old one

A raw water pump might break but the normal wear and tear are all on the impeller. If the pump housing is OK then there is no need to replace it. Just replace the impeller and you should be good for another season or two.

Don't know what kind you have

You can buy a discounted pump and/or parts for an Oberdorfer from DEPCO (800)445-1656. Sherwood will not allow anyone to discount their pumps or parts!!

Raw water pump

Once again Bill nailed it. There is basically nothing to require replacement of the pump. Impeller, bearings and seal. Not much else there to wear out. The impeller has to come from a marine place, but the bearings and seal can be had at bearing supply house, for far less money, for the same thing.

Sorry to say, but...

in addition to impellers, seals, and bearings, what else can go wrong with a water pump is (1) the cam can wear out due to grit and grime getting sucked into the pump; (2) the pump cover can fail to make a seal due to the impeller spindle wearing it out, and (3) lots of people who aren't careful in changing the impeller often ruin their pumps by prying out the old impeller with two screw drivers -- which often creates dents or scars in the soft metal of the pump housing = a dead pump. Steve needs to tell us more detail. Fred: think about helpful replies rather criticism, you'll be happier.

Thank's!

Thank's for the info. Actually I only need seals and maybe the shaft as it is leaking thru the holes behind the pully I replaced the gasket, impeller and 3 screws that were broken on the back (I assumed the missing screws were the reason for the leak,I didn't notice where the water was coming from at first). Fair winds, Steve G.
