Engine troubles? any ideas: when in neutral rpm is 3000, but when in gear it moves at 2knots??? and i loose the rpm... Also continues to cut out and takes 15mins to get started??.. I think my fuel tank may have mold....How do i clean out my fuel system??... Also the mechanic by passed my raco water seperator is it possible to just clean this out and reinstall it??? Why would he bypass the Racor? There can be an incredible amount of crud in your old tank. Take it out if you have doubts and flush it or buy a new one from West for a couple of hundred. New filters and a clean tank are diesel rule #1.

You'll need an access plate or an external..
fuel polishing system to clean your tank. Best bet is to install an access plate so you can get the crud out. I aggree with Randy - get another mechanic. Just a few days ago there was a thread on an access plate installation - check the archives.

was going to say "bad fuel" but it seems
you are already tuned to it. replace fuel, clean tank and replace filters but before you do anything insure bottom hull is clean and prop is not fouled.
