New sails ....
First thanks to all for the great responses. They confirmed that it is time to replace those old 1979 sails (especially that blown out main). I suspected that most of my weather helm problems were caused by the old main. Just could not flatten it enough in anything over 13 knots, so I did on occasion use twist to spill out, if I was not already reefed when leaving the dock. Just got back from FL and got a chance to see Ed's new 5 batten UK main with extra roach (nice looking sail), now he's got me thinking ???, All of the quotes I got were for 2 + 2 battens.Craig, I modified my topping lift system to allow adjustments when sailing, as on yours, it was set up with a fixed lengh when I purchased the boat last year. BTW, nice to know that there is another H37C just south of here.RichardRhapsodie
