We have a Yankee jib with our Beneteau 345. What are the best conditions to run this headsail? We usually have a 145 genoa on the furler. thanks.

Tom, Typically a Yankee is a high clewed, relatively small LP headsail flown on the forward stay of a cutter rig. It is usually used in conjunction with a staysail. If what you have is a small high clewed sail it would probably be most useful on a windy reach, esecially in blue water wave conditions where the high clew will stay well clear of the water. It is always a good idea to put a sail up and experiment with it a bit before you actually need it. Thanks, Bill Colombo Doyle Sailmakers
