Yamaha 30 manual?

How urgent is your need for the manual?
I have a manual, although my digitized version (that I offered to Yam....org but had no response either) was on my last (stolen) macbook.
I can scan my copy but I'm about to take off for a week or two.
Or if there's something specific I could phone/photo it and email it to you.

Craig, i too need a copy. I am buying the 85 y-30 today and have no clue how to operate it. I am in Okinawa japan and the seller doesn't speak English and my Japanese is limited when it comes to discussing sailboats. Any thing u got will be greatly appreciated.Thank you Craig. Go to yamahasailboats.org/manuals for the 30. The '85 probably has the engine in the rear, which was quite a change from the original design, but the specs should be the same.

Wellllll! We just bought our 30, the "Samurai" moored in Cowichan Bay, BC. She's yar!
We have an original printed manual, so I'll scan it when I have time. If anyone else needs one, I can put it in PDF.

We replaced the cutlass bearing due to the surveyor's and local Cowichan Bay Wooden Boats Society mechanic's advice. A few small "notices";
1. Equip the propane system with a pressure (leak-down) gauge on the high pressure
side of the regulator. The propane line so to be protected from abrasion and
accidental damage throughout its length. Equip the vessel with a suitable bilge
vapour detector.
2. Equip the vessel with marine distress flares in current compliance.
3. The fire extinguishers are to display current authorized inspection tags.
but overall, "satisfactory as observed". Woo woo woo!

We just bought ours last week, from a friend. The survey came out well & Yamahas seem to have a sterling reputation. Ours is a 1980 with a 12hp Yanmar YSM 12.
