I want to tune the rig because I suppose it has not been adjusted for at least 8 years during the previous ownership. I have checked the cables which appears to be in good condition, though I intended to replace it in 1 or 2 years.

The backstay comes with a tensioner system (a pulley system), and the forestay has been replaced by a jib furler (so I suppose it cannot be adjusted like a cable?). I checked the manual which recommends a STARTING mast rake of 1.25 degrees BEFORE applying tension to either fore-/back-stay. I wonder typically what should be the mask rake AFTER tensioning? Or should I set backstay tension and let it override the mast rake?

For the upper shrouds, the manual suggests a tension of 10kg perpendicular force at 1.5m deck producing 45mm "play". I foresee this would be quite a high tension, as the current tension produce 75mm "play". Should I follow this tensioning suggestion?

Thanks!
