Yachting Specialities pedestal

The pedestal on my Hunter 31 was made by Yachting Specialities who I understand have been out of business for some years. My problem is this. I would like to be able to lock the wheel when the boat is in the finger or at anchor. I notice a hole on the right side of the pedestal which is probably for some type of lever so the the wheel can be locked. Any ideas of what to do to solve this problem? Steve Dion please advise as well as others. Thanks.

You can buy the brake assembly on this site for $200. See the link below.I thought an autopilot was a better investment on my Hunter

you could simply tie the wheel in place. Its easy and costs nothing!!!
