i have a 1973 Boston Whaler Squall sail tender that we are selling if anyone
in the group is interested. We towed her behind several trips and she tracks
just fine. a little heavy to pull up on deck though. Prob. weighs a good
150 lbs. very solid boat. located in northern virginia, near DC. local pick
up only, can't ship. $500.00.

have a 27' soling on trailer. Race ready. fully equiped and faster than the
proverbial bat out of hell. $3,000.

Also Chris was nice enough to give me his old Vega a few years ago. Well i
have been overwhelmed with running my business and really couldn't do anything
with it. anyone want it for free? she is never going to win any beauty
pagents but will still sail like any Vega just fine. no motor.

i"ll wait a week on these, if anybody in the group is interested let me know.
otherwise they will be on ebay next week.

on a side note, our first boat over 12 years ago was a Vega which we sailed
every weekend for 3 years straight. sold it to a young man that sailed from
the cheasapeke to ireland. then came many boatless years. i have enjoyed being
a part of this group for many years. we have just purchased a 38' custom
steel cutter, and will be moving aboard and sailing off this July.

the old vega is down in St. Marys. Southern Maryland she is on a Navy base
down there and i haven't been able to get to her to do anything. So i think
she has an older set of sails, but i couldn't tell you which jibs. i really
can't show her to anyone. if you want her, i would send you the title and let
you call the base to arrange pick-up.dan

I have an interest in the Vega, is she still available. Can she by
put in the water where she sits or do you have to truck her out? Let
me know.
Thanks and all the best:

Hi Dan
Lot's of problems have really slowed me down. Do you still have the tender? If so I can come up the deleware and through the canal then down the bay and just take her aboard. I'm in Cape may NJ now.

Thanks!
Claude

let me know when you're in the area Claude. we can head out for a beer...
i'll be moving aboard in August sometime, Cheasapeke in August is not the best
place to be Marina locked so prob. late August when we will be just heading
out for places south. We settle on our boat next week and I want to see if
there is room to store this as a second hard dingy onboard. looks like it will
fit, just don't know if i want to add that much windage.
