I am getting tired of hearing all the folks that say the Somalis are justified because of US policies that force them to do this to provide food for their families.

Guess what, these guys are drug addicts and care nothing about their families.

The stakes just went up and it is time for the U.S. to send a CLEAR message. No negotiations. If you are caught there aboard a pleasure craft then expect to die at the hands of the pirates or by a rescue team.

Sailing in dangerous waters

You had better hope that it is the US Navy that comes to your rescue. they have a pretty good track record at saving your butt alive. Others have a slightly lower success rate.
Now if you let the Naval vessels in the area know that you are transiting (can't see stopping in Somali BTW) the area they can keep you on radar and assist. But you have to talk to these guys; they will not take it upon themselves to watch out for you automatically.

We should never know the number or the fate of the pirates. Kill'em all. Swift justice just the way real pirates would do it. Nobody needs to know. Just report that all, unfortunately are dead.

Google " Youtube Russian Navy vs Somali Pirates", I'm not going to post the link, not sure of the rules around here. But I will say the Russians have the right idea and the rest of the world us (USA included) should follow.
