You know they are done when the launch is hoisted. We do a similar thing with our docks every spring and fall but it only takes about 2 hours.

Glad that I live on the left coast.
Went sailing Sunday. 12 knot of wind flat seas and 70 degree air.
It is cold a raining today. got down to 50 degrees last night and might only get up to 60 degrees today... BBRRR!

Sure was a bit ambitious dismasting AND hauling out on the same day. At our club we have a permanent mast crane, and the dismasting is done in a few sessions the week BEFORE haul-out weekend. Of course we haul out nearly 400 boats using 2 rental cranes, so there's no time for fiddling with rigging.

I do object to the fact that they were hauling out while there were still GREEN leaves on the trees.

That's the Housatonic Boat Club in Stratford, CT. I have friends who keep their boats there. It's a really fun club.
