Xanbus System Control Panel Freezing

I have a Xantrex Freedom 2012 charger/inverter connected to a Xanbus System Control Panel (SCP). The control panel usually displays information about battery state, charging, etc. It also allows you to enable or disable the inverter, among other useful functions. Lately the SCP has been either freezing completely, or becomes super sluggish (accepts key input once every 2-5 minutes). Mostly it just freezes. I've tried disconnecting the batteries from the Freedom 2012, which resets the SCP after the capacitor discharges. The SCP then returns to normal functioning for awhile, but ultimately freezes up again.

Has anyone seen this before and have a solution that returns the SCP to its normal functioning without resorting to disconnecting batteries from it? Any idea of cause?

You can call Tech support. When I did, they told me about a Factory Rest.

That did the trick.

Never let your batteries drop below 11 VDC.

Any chance you remember the factory reset? If not I can see if I can find their number. When I trolled their website I only saw an e-mail form, which I submitted. Batteries are lithium, so virtually always at 12v or above while I've had them ;)

On your advice I called them yesterday. I was #2 in the queue when I dialed in. 38 minutes later I was #1 in the queue and had to go into my eye appointment and had to hang up. I'll try again today. I'll post the factory reset if I can get it out of them.

I had a incident with that ICG, and they did not honor their warranty.

I wrote the Factory reset inside that old manual.

I have since upgraded to their newest ICG.
