I was mistaken before on the Odyssey battery. I must have been looking at another similar Grp27 from Odyssey that was lower priced. Each of these batteries is labeled "27M" and the Northstar & Odyssey list identical specs. The X2 is only slightly different but clearly it's exactly the same battery made by EnerSys. All are TPPL AGM.
The specs I was looking at specifically:
X2 Power 27M , Northstar 27M , Odyssey Extreme 27M
CCA - 930 , 930 , 930
MCA - 1080 , 1080 , 1080
aH - 90 , 91 , 92
Reserve capacity minutes - 190 , 195 , 195
Price (today) - $410 , $420 , $440
Source - Batteriesplus , "Battery Guy" , West Marine
Inflation is kicking in! Wednesday, I purchased my X2 for $390 as listed when I bought on line (buy online - pick up at store). Today it is listed for an extra $20. Still the better priced of the 3. I could only find the Northstar at Battery Guy or selected Autozone stores. Only place I could find the Odyssey today was West Marine.
If you got the money boys ... spend it now! Tomorrow it is worth less ....
