Cool!

I'm becoming convinced that, as underwater search technology advances, every wreck on the ocean floor at any depth that's still even partially intact will eventually be found. I expect that it won't be too long before someone finds the fabled "Flight 19" airplanes.

I'm not surprised

I'm not surprised that they found it. Modern technology is absolutely amazing. I am surprised that any country can lay claim to a ship that has been sunk in international waters for over a hundred of years.

History Snapshots...

Robert Ballard mentioned that you could almost follow boat trails from long ago by the stuff they threw over the side... bottles, etc, etc...

It's like a snapshot of the history of the time.. Given the lack of decay at the bottom of the Black Sea, I am very interested in what those wrecks will tell us...

When I was very young, King Midas was just a myth - and exaggeration. Now we know so much more about the real person, his country, and almost the last meal he had before death..

We live in amazing times.. TG for the History and Discovery channels too....

Living on the east coast in what they refer to as WRECK VALLEY has its advantages, the problem is becoming that alot of the shallow"money wrecks " have been located. Now it is about high technology to find alot of the deeper ones, one of the other problems is that alot of the wrecks get dragged over by comm. fishing equip. and makes it even harder to find and/or recognize.
