Charlie, welcome back (pun intended). :)

When I broke my left femur skiing in 2009, I spent the three months before I could get back to the boat figuring out how I'd get back on with crutches!!! The technique I figured out worked, 'cept I forgot about the darned winch! :) I found the handholds on the boat were much better than at home.

We also figured out, the hard way, that there was no bathroom in our house on the main level, and I couldn't do stairs, either. I "lived" on the living room couch for three months with a porta potty nearby. Made me feel like I was on a boat! I also realized that none of the houses I grew up in had bathrooms on the first floor either. Who woulda thunk that a two or three bedroom house would ever have more bathrooms than closets?!?

Then the plate they put in broke, so I got to do it all again six months later for another three months. Oh joy oh rapture.

This, too, shall pass. Good luck.
