I bought a 1981 33' Hunter. I would like to add a bimini. Was wondering the "formula" for width and height. Are off the shelf biminis just as good as custom ones for the difference in price? If so how do I measure for it?

I had a local canvas shop custom make and install my bimini so it has no clearance issues, no straps to deal with, and in stainless for $50 more than the aluminum frame DIY installation bimini would have cost from the online place.

I purchased one direct from this site and am very happy with it. Well made and a good price. The manufacturer for SBO was very helpful. Requires that you install yourself, so if you're not comfortable with that, call a local canvass shop, They'll likely visit and make sure it fits and covers the way you want.
