Hi gang,
Sounds painful, but there's good news on the horizon. Over the last several months we've been getting our boat(s) in order and I have been making piles of gear and supplies in our spare room. Someone
naughty
has rearranged the piles because they weren't neat. :bang:
It's crunch time so I'm packing the car with stuff I hope we need for recommisioning, final buffing, and the trip to Maine. The confusion starts when I can't find something that I put on the pile weeks ago and can't find it. "Where's the little orange bag?" (only two of us in the house) "It should be right there." (standard reply)
We were at our friends house yesterday and the women were talking family so I tuned them out until I heard the term "Man looking". Was her daughter getting married? Nope. "It's how you guys look for stuff! A three second scan of a room then call for help." Whaaaaat?
It was a quiet ride back to our house, but I kept somewhat cool. I advanced the pile to the glass slider and announced "Here's the stuff for tomorrow." There is now a huge pile in front of the door and I'll start packing the car after breakfast. Next week when we sail from Newport I hope everything is onboard.
BTW if I hear "Fizzsseesheriznishbizseeeshooshfizshish" on the radio I'll reply "Strider, is that you?"
