Hi, I'm a novice sailor looking for a 3-5 day sailing vacation where my one of my primary responsonsibilities would be to work the boat........perferrably on the East Coast. If you know of anything similar to this, please respond to this post of send me an email at djspting@yahoo.com. Thanks, Darline

Hi Darline, Nancy and I keep

Bietzpadlin at Owens Marina in Perryville and would be glad to include you for daysailing when we could make schedules mesh. Bietzpadlin is a 30 foot sloop with an engine, galley, and head. All of the comforts of home. We never pack lunch, I always cook. Bietzpadlin is on the hard near the office now if you should choose to look for her. Ross

A really unique experience...

... is to sign up for a "guest crew" gig aboard the "Pride of Baltimore II." You will be assigned to a crew shift, work and sail the ship, and have a great time on a tall ship.

Try the Timberwind

Twenty one of us (including spouses) from Kentucky Lake Sailing Club spent a week with Captain Bob and Dawn last year the week of the 4th of July. We won the Great America Sailing Race against the Maine Windjammer fleet! This is a hands on trip without a lot of luxury, but if you want to sail, then go on this one. They don't have an engine, so they move the boat by using an engine powered Yawl boat if not sailing. Go on a diet before you go because Dawn will have you eating your way through Maine. You will have the time of your life!
