What type of wood is used for the trim and rudder of the Hunters. It seems like an oak but which type of oak would it be? Thanks Ali

All I've ever seen used on Hunters is Teak...
with Holly sole accents and plastic laminates on shelving. I've never seen Hunter use wood on their rudders. Terry

The year after we bought our boat (86) It was
offered with an oak interior. (H34) Even saw one at the Seattle boat show. Weird! Oh, rudders are not wood on Hunters. Ali, did you miss-speak about rudders? And as far as oak for trim, check out what happens to oak when it gets wet. Not pretty.

Fred is your boat a 85 or 86
Hey Fred mine is a 86 and I'm pretty sure the interior is teak, except maybey for the sliding doors on the side. most I have seen are plastic. Mine are a light colored wood. Was the oak interior an option, I take it it is lighter in color than teak.

The dealer at the boatshow said it was an
