Hey folks, how can I access the wiring behind the Bose system and along the starboard side of the boat? I have a 2006 41DS..
Thanks in advance,

Mike

Manual

If you have a manual from Hunter the wiring should be in there but if not try following the cable most likely up into the headliner.

The back of the Bose system is accessed in the hanging locker in the forward cabin. There is a shelf in the locker that is unscrewed and removed.

If you are running coax to the aft of the boat, there are 2, 1 1/2" pvc tubes that run from the hanging locker in the forward cabin under the Bose unit to the wiring access panel under the navigation station. You will have to remove the cedar panel from the hanging locker and the teak wood panel mounted vertically under the navigation station. It can help to find the pvc tubes by following the red & yellow 2 Gauge wires for the windlass. From the access panel under the navigation station you will have to bring the coax down under the floor to get further aft in the boat.

if you look under the bose unit that is recessed into the wall, under the little shelf are 2 screws on either side that secure the unit . if you take them out( philips head) you can pull the unit towards the stern and access the wiring..
I have done this on my 2006 41 DS

Thanks Guys for all responses. I now have TV onboard! With the responses I was able to find all the cables and connections needed to install my new RCA 22 inch 12vdc TV. Thanks again!!

Ok next question, where can I access the wiring coming down the mast into the cabin top. I may want to install Radar and wand to know the path of the wiring where in enters the cabin top..below the mast step plate.

In the forward cabin unsrew the wood surround of the compression post under the mast and remove. You will now be able to see the wiring terminations on wire strip. Next to the top of the cabin near the compression post there should be a blue corrogated pvc tube that gos from the the area near the compression post to behind the Bose unit. You will have to snake the wires thru this tube to in back of the hanging locker and then thru one of the 1 1/2" pvc tubes that run to the navigation station as I mentioned in my previous post. The radar wire will then be brought up to in back of the removable panel where your charger/inverter control is mounted to connect with your electronics.
