Wiring Inverter to A/C Panel

Xantrax ProWatt SW 2000 inverter
Blue Seas A/C - D/C distribution panel
Blue Seas 2 source/off a/c source selector switch

The inverter does not come with a built-in automatic transfer switch, but does have an optional in-line transfer relay available as an accessory.
My question is, do I need the relay if I'm wiring the inverter's AC output thru the source selector switch?

Thanks.

A relay or manual switch is required if there is ANY situation where two different sources of AC can "get" to the same place at the same time. It has nothing to do with where the DC goes to the inverter, it's where the inverter AC goes. The relay or a manual switch assures that only ONE source of AC can be provided at any given time.
The AC source is either your shorepower or the inverter.

If the Blue Sea 2 IS indeed just that, then no you don't need a separate relay.

WADR, I'm concerned that if you don't know the answer to this question, you might want to ask for professional help to install it. Or at least post a wiring diagram up so you can be sure you're doing it right.

I plan to use the wiring diagram that came with the switch.
The professional that one might hire to install this switch didn't know the answer to this question at some point in his education. I figured the correct answer was the one you provided, but I always try to confirm my thoughts with a qualified expert when dealing with something new.
Thanks, Stu.

What does "WADR" mean?

I am not sure what is the relay suppose to do and does the paper work explain that,,I would think the switch is better than any auto switching less to go bad.
My inverter was installed at the factory in 2007 and is all auto and has always worked very good
and never any problems with a remote inverter panel that switches from charge or inverter and battery read out with all my battery info and all very easy and very nice setup but was all done at factory.
