wiring diagram

hello all. i am looking for a wiring diagram for my legend series hunter. replacing my charging wire from the altenator. any help on where it is all ran would be very helpful.

If you don't get a better answer, I'll be at the boat tomorrow and will trace the wire to make sure and let you know what I find. As I recall, it goes directly from the alternator to the start battery switch in the engine compartment but I can't be sure without looking.

Here is the original diagram from Hunter, mine goes from the alternator to the battery isolator like in the diagram, and from the isolator to the banks..

Just traced the alt wire and it goes directly to the start battery switch post with a direct connection back to the battery combiner. One caveat though - for a number of reasons not worth describing here, I re-did much of the wiring years ago and don't recall if this is the original configuration.

Again: it depends

If you have an isolator the it needs to go to that. If not then Hunter (and most others) typically run the + alternator to the starter + to save running another high current wire all over the boat. The starter + will run to either a 3 way or a one way switch depending on how you have your house and start banks set up.

Boat wiring is HIGHLY dependant on the equipment installed. There are numerous ways to "skin the cat." All run the alternator + to one of the battery bank +es through a switch of some sort.

What do you have, equipment wise, on your boat?

i think it goes to the the battery isolator first. one wire to the start battery, i assume the other goes to the house bank( you know when what happens when you assume).
the wiring looks way under sized. i would love to upgrade this in anticipation of larger than the 60amp alternator the boat came with.
