I'm trying to wire a old CMS(?) analog knotmeter. When I connected 12VDC battery power to it for the firs time, the needle pegged at 12 knots instead of 0. I tried reversing the leads and get the same results. It's a paddle wheel sensor and the boat is on the trailer. What am I missing?
