I want to replace the Starboard Jib Halyard on my Ranger 33. It is unusable and just tied off to the deck and cutting peoples hands up
Currently the Port Halyard hauls the Genny up the furler. . .
The Rope part of the existing wire/rope halyard is 1/2". . .that which is recommended by the SBO stores running rigging calculator is only 3/8". Brand of line is Samson XLS. I was planning to just tie a snap shackle I have to the end. Sheaves are all combo rope/wire sheaves in fair to middlin' condition.
Any thoughts on the size and brand of line recommended by SBO? I'm not all that sure about any of this, just going by whats recommended. . .
Thanks
