Winterizing A4

The Ericson 29 we bought this summer has an Atomic 4 engine, with which I have no experience ( our previous boats had diesels or outboards.) I'm getting conflicting local advice about how to winterize the A4 engine after I get the boat up on the hard?
It is raw water cooled. Is there a consensus on the best method?

Never done a A4 but with raw water cooled engines you usually remove the thermostat, run anti-freeze through the engine and then replace the thermostat.

Go to the Moyer Marine website. Find the Atomic 4 service manual and buy it. The manual has the winterization procedure clearly outlined.
If you are getting conflicting local advice it is probably because your local advice is not so good. Many so called mechanics are not familiar enough with the A4 engine to winterize it.
Get the manual, do it yourself, and it will get done right.
