Winterize Lectra San?

You might not like this - but this is what I did
Last year was the first time for me and did the following. Pumped lots of water through the system via the toilet. This to try and flush anything out of the system (if you know what I mean). It could be a couple of gallons. Don't activate the Lectran cycle just flush water throught it. On top of the unit is a plug that you remove. I used a wet/dry vac with a small tube taped to the end of the hose. Suck all of the liquid out of the unit. Make sure you get both sides. That's about it. Don't added anything to the unit. (if this gives you any idea how anal I am) I don't even OWN the system yet, still wavering on a boat purchase that has one...but I do want to make sure the PO takes good care of all the equipment that might be mine in a few days! Thanks!

Nothing wrong with being anal...
Especially when it comes to very expensive equipment! You can easily find out how careful he is about taking care of things on the boat if you ask him if has all the equipment manuals. If he says yes, good. If he says, "manuals? I don' need no steeeenkin' manuals," you might want to consider another boat. Btw...you DID (or intend to) make any offer on it "subject to survey and sea trial" and hired (or intend to) hire the toughest surveyor you can find?
