I have a new-to-me Catalina 22 MKII. I previously owned power boats and know what to do to winterize properly; not so sure about a sailboat. So here is what I plan to do. Am I missing anything?
Take everything off the boat ~ lines, cushions, fenders, bimini, etc.
Remove the 5 gal fresh water "bottle" and drain water line (it is a single faucet, hand pump system).
Remove sails and store at home (folded up OK?). This includes the furled genoa, yes?
Remove boom and store at home.
Drop mast (gonna be fun to learn how to do this ...)
Remove battery and store at home.
I used Kanberra gel on my power boats, will probably put a jar or two in the cabin.
Remove outboard; will check out manual on this, but probably involves oil change, new impeller, new spark plug, and fogging cylinder, yes?
Pressure wash hull.
Remove tiller/rudder and take home (want to re-varnish the tiller over the winter)
Boat will be stored on the trailer over the winter.
Trying to decide on shrink wrap, but will probably do this (we live in Colorado)
Thanks for the help,
carlos
