Submitted for review and evaluation, the fruit(s) of hours in the shop awaiting first the snow to end, then the rain to end and eventually the harbors to open in the Windy City. They have and both these projects have been put to use and passed the "As Intended" test.

The original helm seat, OEM to the best of my knowledge, was never secured to the two base blocks, causing a crew member (and also a lurking HOW member, I might add) to be unexpectedly launched into the cockpit at a most inopportune time. No damage to he or the boat, but it had to be fixed. So, why not fix it and build in an arc at the same time?

I'll tell you why not: 'cuz it was lots more work, hours and detail than anticipated, especially the 10 coats of Epiphane. What a tedious drag! I now know how Sisyphus felt, rolling that rock uphill day-by-day!

The assy tack? Needed a way to put the tack on centerline and clear the furling drum during and after a jibe. Mission accomplished and it almost looks OEM. It took the shop all of about 5 minutes to weld it...after untold hours to measure, saw, grind, Dremel®, file and re-measure.

Can't compete (but certainly can learn) from Roger and Ross, et al, and this may be small proof.

Glad to be displacing H²0, 'cuz this winter just felt like forever...
