For those of us up north, it's time to think about winter storage. This year, I'm thinking about storing in my yard, but need to buy stands. Can anyone tell about what height range I should be looking for for an O'Day 23 (stub keel/centerboard)? I'm seeing ones for sale that range from about 30-50 inches. That seems about right but I would like to have confirmation. Thanks for any help you can provide.

Hey Scott,
Check out this site: http://www.brownellboat.com/ I bought four new stands from Brownell's for my O'Day 222 years ago. I have the SB-3 stands. Click on to the "How to choose" tab and you'll get an idea of the stand height range for your boat. For the bow of my boat, I bought a powerboat stand in a yard sale for $15.00. If you can swing it though, you should opt for four new sailboat stands like I did.

Thanks!

Perfect! Thanks Joe. I'm probably going to buy used ones as money is an issue at the moment.

Thanks again for the help.

Used will probably be OK Scott, as long as they're in good condition. Happy hunting!
