Winter sailing

Here's my way of winter sailing in Delson quebec, and it's a lot faster that My M-25...

There just has to be more to winter here than chucking wood into my stove and clearing snow....

Pretty sad that our Canadian brothers have to resort to this kind of activity to feed their need.
They are going to the top of my prayer list.

Built it myself, piece of cake...
The plans ($15.00) came from www.cherrywoodmedia.com (somewhere in Minn.)
the sail came from Sailboats ToGo out of Boxborough Mass.
Total time 1-1/2 weekend
Total cost around $300.00 including the sail.
And it goas like hell.

We must have been seperated at birth. I am going to do some interior work today but I have avoided sailing this winter. It has been more to do with not having enough hours to get it all done in the winter but the sailboat has taken the hit the most because of reduced hours to work outside. I never thought of myself as a fair weather sailor, but that is exactly what I have been this winter. I live five miles from Florida, so there is really no excuse other than not enough hours in a day.

This is a small beast, 10 feet in lenght and it goes roughly 45mph or 70kph
The bigger ones go at 100 mph plus
So tie you hard hat for sure.
Go on Youtube.com, search for ice boat and watch the crazy ones.
