The hull was designed to fit the trailer. For that reason alone, I would store the boat on that trailer for the winter and preferably inside somewhere. Do not put any cover over the boat particualy using the mast. If it got warm and with that type of material, the adverse heat cold affect the boat. If you insist on a cover for the boat, then stay the heck away from dark colors and make sure you have alot of vents. Never use the mast to put a cover over that or the weight of accumulated snow and Ice will bend it causing you to get a new mast.
