I have just had a custom made sunbrella boat cover installed on my H31. This cover is designed to cover the deck and companion way but still allow air circulation to prevent mold growth etc-Cost including taxes $Can1400. That is pretty cool. I like it. I looked into a cover but the local cost was going to be >$1,500. In our case my wife and I measured and fabricated a Sunbrella cover for $330 for our recently purchased Hunter 31. We needed to keep the cost down since we replaced a lot of equipment on this ‘87 sail boat to bring it to new condition. When we purchased the sail boat all the windows and compass were severely crazed. The port lenses and compass were replaced and the teak top side and companionway refinished. The cover now protects the port widows, hatches, teak, companionway, 6 winches, new running rigging, nav instrumentation and aft speakers from dust and UV.
