winter cover for a Hunter 260

Is the mast up or down?
When I had my H260 and stored for the winter. I would have the mast down and used it for support of two tarps that completely covered the boat. Would take down the life lines, marked were the stantions would come up through and cut holes then reinforce. Worked for three years before upgrading the boat.

If using the mast for support, make darn sure you support the mast because if it snows or water pools up, the mast will be bent. then you will have to buy a new mast.

Check 260 Knowledge Base
Casper C has posted a plan in the improvements section of the 260 Knowledge Base page using PVC & tarps. I built one for my 23.5. My only suggestion is to use 1" PVC instead of 3/4". The starboard-aft corner broke mid-winter. One question though: Isn't winter over???
