Hi all,

With all the weather apps having another one isn't that exciting. So when the Active Captain email came with another app I just put it in the "don't open till Christmas" pile. However Windyty has blended some very visual features and good weather info for local and distant points along our routes.

If you zoom in and then left-click and hold it, an info box opens and you can get local info for that point. Then close the box with the little X at the top of that box. Very visual. Some of you may have already posted this, but as you can see I've been into the Christmas presents early this year. Stay safe.

I am not one of those Computer geeks and most times takes a few
tries learning some thing new and to be honest have not used Active that much when cruising
and mostly just use my Ray C-80 and Iphone for weather and with Navionics.
But my early Xmas gift came early from my lovely wife and it's a Samsung tablet
some one from our club told me she uses the same tablet with Plan2nav and has active captain overlay on it as traveling and will be adding that to my system soon.
Can you explain a little more how to use windyty on active captain and just started using
windyty just recently while cruising.
